about me
Hi, my name is victoria eden
I came to bookkeeping on the recommendation of a friend who had been a bookkeeper for a long time. She told me I would love it and would be great at it. She was right, I did love it! I also discovered I had been using many bookkeeping principles in my own personal finances for years without even realizing what I was doing. This allowed me to excel quickly because I already knew what to do even though I hadn’t yet learned the name for it.
I never knew I could make a career out of solving puzzles and organizing things neatly until I found bookkeeping. I’ve always loved puzzles and even taught myself how to use Excel, Photoshop, and other software because I would sit there thinking, “I know I should be able to do this, but how?” The “ah-ha!” moment when I figure something out is one I never get tired of, and bookkeeping has plenty of those moments.
After working for my friend for a short time, I started working towards my Associate in Applied Science degree in Accounting at Tacoma Community College where I became a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I also obtained Accounting Office Associate, Assistant Bookkeeping Clerk, and Computerized Accounting certificates. I am familiar with QuickBooks, Sage 50, and am Xero advisor certified.
I value inclusivity and welcome all members of my community.
I would be honored to work with you and help your business reach (and exceed!) its goals.
